Earlier this week NPR premiered Son, the forthcoming debut album from Washington, D.C., dance duo Beautiful Swimmers, which I'd been waiting for ever since I first heard a single they dropped a couple years ago called "Open Shadow." Beautiful Swimmers use syrupy wah-wah guitars and a bit of reverb to craft an elegant and slightly woozy funk track that's the perfect backdrop to relaxing in a hammock by the lake, or whatever big body of water may be nearby; Title Tracks front man John Davis adds a nice touch with some sweet and soothing vocals reminiscent of 70s FM rock.…
